GrandView Castle Entertainment was established in 1999 to distribute motion pictures to television broadcasters throughout Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS, and Turkey. Our first opportunity was to serve as the exclusive sales agent for DreamWorks Studios for television licensing throughout the region – a unique position we enjoyed in the marketplace for over nine years. Following Paramount Pictures’ acquisition of DreamWorks in 2005, GrandView represented the combined feature output and film library of Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Studios and Dreamworks Animation. We soon began attracting other clients and quickly became a leading independent distributor of Hollywood programming to the television markets in the region. Over the years we have represented Lucasfilm, Showtime, MGM, Spyglass Entertainment, New Regency, HBO, Modern Times Group, the Mark Burnett Company, and several independent producers.
As a distribution company, GrandView acquired theatrical and television motion picture rights for Central and Eastern Europe from leading independent film studios and sales companies, and markets and distributes the titles across theatrical, home entertainment, television, and digital on-demand platforms throughout the region. The Company actively distributes its library of films throughout the region.
GrandView’s principals have been doing business in Central and Eastern Europe since 1991. Prior to forming GrandView we played key roles in launching several leading commercial television broadcasters in the region; we launched and managed a pan-regional program acquisitions company to service a broadcasting group’s programming and production needs; we established the leading chain of multiplex cinemas in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia; and we provided legal and consulting services to businesses, governmental agencies, and international organizations. We offer a broad range of skills and experience to help our clients profitably navigate the entertainment markets of the region.
